Sir
We captured this day two miles from
the mouth of Wighcomico River from a
contraband Crossing the river the Enclosed letter
from doctor J. R. Brown with Fifteen (15) Dollars

I learn from the Contraband that J.R. Brown
was formerly a Doctor of Northumberland Co.
but now an officer in "Stuarts Rebel Cavalry".
I also Enclose a Duplicate of J.R. Brown's
