Jan. 16th
      To Gen. Viele
                             Heard that some
         of  Stuarts Cavalry have joined
         Pryor.  It that is so they
         mean a raid.  I shall be under 
         arms at 3 A.M.

       you and Suffolk:  Gen Pecks' Pickets
      are skirmishing on the track
      between here and there.
