Sir
                             I will thank you to inform me
how I am to dispose of the Nine Canoes I
have Captured.  the greater number are excellent
boats and must be of Value

The above letter was not forwarded,
the Canoes being Carried away and broken
up in a gale on the Rappahannock on
the 28th Instant.
