Feb. 1st,’63.
This morning, some ex-
citement created by heav-
y firing of musketry
on our right, & a report
that an engagement
was in progress; but
it proved that it was
nothing more than the
firing off of guns, pre-
paratory to inspection of
arms, - to-day being
Sunday, the day for
inspection.
Not so well to-day.
