Guard mounting
no practice to day. No
parade as 3 companies went
out this evening on an
expedition it is supposed
with the intention of
destroying the Mercer
salt works on the New
River about 30 miles distant
from here
Made barrell stoves this
forenoon. our mess got
some flour. Met with
little misfortune this evening
fell into the mud hole
by the spring
Am now going down
to bathe & change clothes
