Did not sleep very well last
night. This forenoon wrote a
letter home and attended services in the
saloon. this fternoon attended the services
on the upper deck. In the evening sung
sacred songs. Filled up the time with reading
"Judahs Lion" and the Bible and in med-
itatin and self-examination.
Judah's Lion, probably the popular religions novel by Charlotte E. Tonna, 1790-1846.
