Arose this morning at 4 o'clock, got breakfast, struck tents, packed up and were in readiness for action by sun up--we expected an attack and have been under arms all day but had no fight, nor any sign of it, more than the beating of drums in the Yankee camp--all quiet now and we go to rest...
