Mary--Letter from the latter by
the mail--Eugene she still thinks
improving--News of a battle yes
terday- near- Culpeper C.H. in which
Jackson whipped the enemy as usual
-feel anxiety as to Lanty as his bri-
-gade was engaged & his general
