[from the diary of Anne Madison Willis Ambler]
Again Pa gave us the carriage &
Ma F[annie], E[mma] & I went out to call at Mr.
T.'s & to see Cousin Annie Beckwith--
The latter was not at home. had a long
hot dusty ride for nothing-
Mrs T. & Mrs L. were as agreeable as usual-
They [?] [?] got home tired & hungry
to dinner
Am I never to get a letter from you
I must write== if I send it to R, I presume
you will get it.
[as transcribed in 1972 by her granddaughter Anne Madison Wright Baylor]
