The bearer Dr. A. Blake
was the Surgeon of the regiment of which
I was Colonel and I always understood gave
general satisfaction. He is now desirous of
obtaining a position on one of the gun
boats which if you can give I have no
doubt Dr. Blake will be able to fill
satisfactorily.
