Left for Picket post No. 3 about
midnight it began to snow and
continued all the next day
most of the night follow
ing we had no shelter but a
few Pine brush this post
has recently been drawn in
about a mile & a half. The
morning after the snow we
boys went out & caught
three hairs The three
Shepherd & myself on the
5th we returned to camp
