Sir,
In reply to an application made for you
by Messrs Bocock & Lynch to raise a Company
of Cavalry, I inform you that a Company
of Cavalry will be accepted for the war, but
that no authority can be granted you to
raise such Company, unless you receive fur
lough from your Commanding Officer, as required
by the Regulation
