Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1862
Beautiful moonlight
night
Remained at
our bivouack near
Brookville until
after noon when we
left marched about
8[?] miles. passed through
a small place labelled
Crocklin are now
going in a westerly
direction
The Country now
becomes more rolling
fine country. plenty
of rivers &c Leigh
went to a house &
had some bread &
butter a very pleasant
Lady. Saw Daron Temp[leton]
again to day just as
we left. Wrote letter to
Eliza Clear pleasant
