Sunday, September 14, 1862
Fannie rode to town with you to
attend church--heard a sermon
from bro. C[harles] & dined at Mr Keyeses
Spent a pleasant day, enjoyed reading
& nursing more than usual--.
One thing I have been lazy about, is
sleeping late in the morning ever since
you came home-...
We heard cannon all day--I suppose it
must have been at the Ferry, & was
astonished when Fanny came to
hear they had not heard a sound of it
in Town.
