Wednesday, June 4, 1862
Raining and we
lay in until late then
after breakfast I
lay down again slept
some In drawing
rations this morning
drew molasses--
Part of our Regt paid
off to day
Played this evening
Had my carbine return
-ed to me by provost
Telegram of the late
battle near Richmond
a very severe one
Rained most of the
day rained all last
night
