June 12  Another hot day.  Just heard of the removal of
McClellan's head quarters to the other side of the
Chickahominy. Our orders are to be in readiness
to move at a moment's notice.  Beginning to feel
homesick.  Would give a good deal for a short
leave, but the ever of a more active campaign
is approaching, & every man is expected to be at
his post.
