1862 May 4

[from the diary of Lt. John Tyler of the Letcher Artillery]


May 4th [-] day.  Had inspection in morning
& Brigade review in afternoon by Genl Ander-
-son.  Recd orders this evening to move to-
-morrow morning to Massaponax Ch.  Very
pleasant day.
