Saturday 10  We had a fine day it be
ing actually the third consecutive day
of sunshine. Board agreed to get
substitutes for John [?] & Chris
tian--News that Beauregard it
had attacked the enemy on his [?]
and gained a victory--not more than
5000 engaged on our side.  Clark Left
wich, on Van Dorn's Staff, was dan-
gerously wounded, as his father
learned by a telegram--went in the
eveng to Charles--Letter from Dr
Davis  engaged for him Alfred Mil
