Tuesday – January 21/62
Spent all day in-doors on a/c
of the rain – too wet for
even roll calls. Played chess
& wrote to Connolly, Rivers &
Estelle today. Rec’d letter
from Eggleston in regard to
my furlough which he is
trying to get for me – Dick
did not come to bed till three
o’c tonight – lost some money –

[Probably his 1st cousin, Felicite Estelle Logan, 1838-1910]
