[from the diary of Daniel D. Logan, younger brother of General Thomas M. Logan]

Spent this day in the house.
Weather moderating & the Snow
thawing – Read Napoleon &
His Marshalls & wrote a long
letter to Isabel at night. Rec’d
a letter from Julie today – also
wrote to Father today & sent him
$25.00 in CS bills in a/c of the 50$ I
borrowed of him.
Went to bed at 2 o’c this
night! [?] $7.00 from [?] today
in 7 up. they made everyone
this little game
