Morning very foggy – yet fine appearance

of fine day – [word lined through] We press an ox

to carry our knapsacks – Taken from

us – Had our tents and baggage to car-

ry again – March 4 miles – Feasted

on a fine mess of snaps and corn –

Read 5 C in bible – Hear of the death

of little Joe Chapman
