Navy, have been received, Caotaub
Lynch, State's Navy, has been sent
to examine the defensible points of
the Potomad River, and where any-
thing based upon his report has been
definitely determined upon, you
will be duly informed of it.

Col [?]ett, Va. Vols. will be ordered
to report to you for duty when you will
be able to send him to Alexandria in the
place of Lt. Col. Taylor.
