Feb 19th Left home for
Richmond with my
brother on the 22nd I
attended the Inaugeration
of Jeff Davis. it was a
very bad day. I was very
much disappointed in
the city. Nothng came
up to my expectations
The city not being fortified
at all every thing is an
awful convention[?]
