I was detailed for guard
to day but I got of by
axident there was one
fellow went on in
my place
Last entry in volume two of the diary of Hale. The next volume in the Special Collections Dept has a brief description of the battles of Princeton and Fayette written sometime after May 17th and September 10th. Daily entries resume December 10, 1862.
