[from the diary of Jesse Calvin Spaulding, Co. F, 25th Massachusetts]
Tuesday

A very wet night. Our blankets
blew off twice so that we got a
little wet, but we fixed them on again
Spread our blankets on some brush laid on
some rails, and got along very comfortable
except musquitoes Got a real good letter
from home today
